NY - Newyorkers embarrassed of their state - 82%
ALBANY -- Voters are so fed up with state government that a majority
of them are embarrassed to even call themselves New Yorkers, a Siena
College poll Monday found.

A paltry 16 percent of New Yorkers think the state is headed in the right direction, compared to 70 percent who think it's headed down the wrong path. The results are a drop of 9 percentage points from a Siena poll just two weeks ago.
In upstate, the sentiment is even worse: Only 9 percent think New York is headed in the right direction, compared to 82 percent who think it's headed downhill.
By a 54 percent to 41 percent margin, voters said that what's going on in Albany makes them "embarrassed" to call themselves New Yorkers. Seventy percent said New York has never been more dysfunctional.read full article
